KEY FEATURES
Glued laminated timber (Glulam) is a high-strength engineered wood product designed for load-bearing structures in construction. Compared to solid wood of the same dimensions, Glulam beams are up to 80% stronger and 40% stiffer, making them an efficient and durable solution for modern architecture. In addition to their structural advantages, Glulam elements offer a unique aesthetic appeal for both interior and exterior applications.
MANUFACTURING PROCESS
Moisture content: 14% ±2%
Wood species: Spruce, Pine, Impregnated Spruce/Pine
Surface finish: Calibrated, Planed
Manufacturing standard: EN 14080:2013
MANUFACTURING PROCESS
Glulam structures are custom-manufactured according to individual project requirements. The primary wood species used include spruce, pine, and impregnated spruce/pine, with a moisture content of 14% ±2%. The production process is fully compliant with the EN 14080:2013 standard, ensuring exceptional quality. A planed and calibrated surface guarantees both precision and visual appeal, making installation easier.
APPLICATIONS & ADVANTAGES
Glulam load-bearing structures are highly versatile and offer the following key benefits:
Moisture Resistance – Suitable for humid environments such as swimming pools and water parks.
Chemical Resistance – Ideal for fertilizer storage, agricultural buildings, and chemically aggressive environments.
Fire Resistance – Large cross-sections provide enhanced fire resistance, meeting building fire safety regulations without requiring additional fire-retardant treatments.
Strength-to-Weight Ratio – Offers higher load-bearing capacity per unit weight than steel or reinforced concrete structures.
Cost-Efficiency – Reduces material costs for foundations, accelerates construction timelines, and minimizes finishing work expenses.
Thermal Insulation – Glulam has low thermal conductivity, simplifying design solutions for external walls, roof structures, and cantilevered elements.
Sustainability – Made from renewable natural resources, Glulam structures are eco-friendly, non-toxic, and safe for indoor environments.
